Charles Hawkins is the secondary antagonist of Call Of Cthulhu. He was the husband to the famous painter Sarah Hawkins. He, his wife, and their son Simon were all killed in a fire while in their home in Darkwater.
He was originally a Ship Owner who was a member of the Cult of Cthulhu, that the fire was caused between a fight between the two, which killed their son. After the fire, he unsuccessfully attempted to steal the Necronomicon, which transformed him into a horrific creature.

Charles Hawkins was a local celebrity in Darkwater.
The heir of a shipowner family, he used to travel a lot. He met Sarah Hawkins during a trip to Paris. They fell in love, got married, and Hawkins took her to the remote island of Darkwater.
They had a child named Simon, and lived a very secretive life.
